Reflectometric Measurements
We locate electrical circuit irregularities and defects or measure cable length using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR).
We have available an extensive database of pulse propagation velocity in the most common cable types.
The acquired data are software processed. The results are displayed in a form of TDR signature.
From the TDR signature, we can:
- Determine cable lengths up to 29,260 m with a high accuracy
- Locate cable connections, penetrations, changes in cable types, etc.
- Locate failures like ground fault, ground connection, cable break.
We perform the reflectometric tests either separately, using a TDR card installed in a personal computer, or within the scope of comprehensive cable diagnostics.
The TDR measurements are eligible for both power an communication cables.
